Name[edit]

The standard conventions say this article should have a "widely accepted English name." According to the nearest Webster's Geographical Dictionary, this is Desolation Island (the literal translation of the Spanish Isla Desolación). "Desolación Island" is also widely accepted (and, frankly, fine by me), but it isn't really English...:) --Lemuellio (talk) 21:37, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My HarperCollins Concise World Atlas (2004) lists it as Isla Desolación. Maybe Desolación (Island)?(mercurywoodrose)76.234.120.39 (talk) 04:39, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
