Filmography section needs to go[edit]

@Thewinrat:Currently, the section seems to be bringing only a whole lot of low quality, unsourced edits. As I said, WP isn't a fan site and it's not an indiscriminate collection of information. Given that this artist seems to be a rather minor character (and him being popular (or not) is irrelevant - if his popularity alone was enough to make him notable, there would certainly be more coverage in reliable source) who has only won a few awards from his parent company (i.e. none of those are notable, and they don't need to be listed either), I don't see the point of having a filmography either, especially since it brings a flow of low-quality edits. 198.84.253.202 (talk) 21:34, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.
I am not seeing whether something bringing "low quality edits" is a reason for exclusion. That would mean we shouldn't include something in an article out of fear of how people will react to it? Sethie (talk) 19:00, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Whether they are low quality or not isn't the only argument (though, if the tables had been the result of good research and well-sourced and not WP:INDISCRIMINATE (listing every cameo appearance isn't relevant - if there's sufficient content to have a filmography, it goes in a (example) separate article, then maybe the situation would be different). None of the tables have a reliable source, and WP isn't a fan site. Listing the Star Awards is also not necessary nor wanted since they are not worthy enough of a notice except maybe on pages directly related to them. 198.84.253.202 (talk) 14:05, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
"If there is sufficient content to have a filmography, it goes in a separate article." I am not aware of any guideline that says it has to, must or should be that way, and I have seen 100's of articles that have filmographys in them..... so I have no idea where that is coming from? • If the actor himself is not notable then nominate the article for deletion. Otherwise it is common practice to have filmography tables that document credited roles in notable films. If the actor is credited in the film credits then the work itself is self-sourcing. There is no valid reason for removing the filmography from the article. The only reason for having filmographies in a separate article, as in the example given, is when the filmography is too large for an article. It is far from the case here. Hoverfish Talk 09:24, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request[edit]

Remove "Tan has an official fan club called Destanation and is one of 8 Dukes in MediaCorp.[1]" - failed verification, the linked source does not even mention article subject. 198.84.253.202 (talk) 01:33, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
