Alex's death[edit]

At the end of episode 10, Kirkman receives word that his wife Alex died in a car accident. On February 13, I changed the episode summary to reflect that. Njorent has repeatedly taken it upon himself to revert the summary, and only until recently claimed "spoiler" and "It happens at the end of the episode. By not saying who died, it gives it some suspense and some mystery. Makes the viewer-to-be interested in watching." Well, it's been two months since airing, if a viewer hasn't seen or read about the episode by now, in order to prepare them for the winter premiere which jumps ahead in time, then WP isn't the place to soften their viewing pleasure. It should also be noted that Njorent has been notified of 3RR, which seems to their thing. — Wyliepedia 17:38, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a constant problem with this particular editor, who has now breached WP:3RR for the umpteenth time. Technically, we don't know what happened to Alex based on the end of the last episode, although we can certainly make a reasonable deduction, particularly now tonight's preview is running, and the standing summary addresses that. You make an excellent point about our purpose. We're not here to entertain, to build ratings, to save readers from spoilers or to write entertainment press-style episode summaries. We're here to document the episode in an encyclopedic manner, something that's become increasingly lost among our corps of editors. Editors who don't want to be spoiled can exercise some personal responsibility and stay the heck away until they've seen the episode, and there's an abundance of media more than amply enticing viewers back to the late-winter premiere tonight. ----Dr.Margi 18:42, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
