The Jews of Derecskei until 29/03/1944[edit]
The town Derecskei and the district Derecskei were the home of many Jew families. Following the Germans invasion of Hungary in March 19, 1944 (Operation Margarethe), the Jews of Derecskei were taken to Ghetto Gross Wardein in the 29/03/1944. A few men, were taken to work camps, most of them survived. But the total mayority of the Jews families of Derecskei, were gased then burned in Auschwitz murder camp, Poland.
