Copyvio[edit]

The text labelled as copyvio from [1] was not a copyvio. In fact the website copied the material from Wikipedia. Please see the revision history of Densha Otoko to see earlier versions of the text posted on the website. As additional evidence, consider the "[1]" in "accompanying manga series. [1] The movie had previously screened at Anime Expo and Otakon 2006." taken from the website. The "[1]" is actually an external link from Wikipedia. The editor of the website copied even this "[1]" when doing a cut-and-paste of the Densha Otoko article. As a consequence, I have restored the text erroneously marked as "copyvio" and deleted. olivier (talk) 18:38, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Densha Otoko (film)Train Man (film)--Relisted Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 06:59, 6 January 2013 (UTC) Since many English-language websites such as Midnight Eye, The New York Times, The Village Voice and IGN refer to the film as Train Man, I guess it is "the title more commonly recognized by English readers" (WP:NC-FILM#Foreign-language films). 123.225.44.23 (talk) 16:41, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nominator's statement and references backing it. Perhaps Densha Otoko should be moved to Train Man too? Erik (talk | contribs) 17:44, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Three of the references give the name as "Train man: Densha Otoko". I think it should be moved to that title instead. JoshuSasori (talk) 01:55, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - As there are no conflicting English titles, "Train Man (film)" is the best way to go, especially for English readers. --George Ho (talk) 18:49, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support WP:UE, we have an established English usage -- 76.65.128.43 (talk) 06:04, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Per JoshuSasori above. That some websites not related to the film choose to give some English title is not necessarily a reliable source for a film that has not received a wide releaseis not widely known in English-speaking countries. If the film had no English title whatsoever, we would be wrong to just make up an English title just because of UE. elvenscout742 (talk) 04:52, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed that the film was in fact officially released on DVD in America under the title Train Man: Densha Otoko.[2] Therefore, the websites cited are invalid - the official English title of this film (and therefore the one by which it is most likely widely-known) is Train Man: Densha Otoko and so the page should be moved there. elvenscout742 (talk) 05:12, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe we should consider merging this article into Densha Otoko? That page's opening sentence reads "Densha Otoko (電車男?, translated as Train Man) is a Japanese movie, television series, manga, novel, and other media..." elvenscout742 (talk) 05:21, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
