The article on eskers cites the Denali Highway as one that was built on an esker; this article doesn't mention the fact. Anyone care to elaborate? Mwanner | Talk 23:14, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is definitely true; while I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the esker, it is definitely referenced in the Bureau of Land Management packet that either I have, or should be available online someplace.   • Very late reply, but I just drove it last week, and several segments are in fact built on eskers. I added an image of one such section. I had several other decent pictures, so I went ahead and added a gallery section showing several landmarks on the highway. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:13, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
