Comment[edit]

I cleaned up this article to conform more closely to the Manual of Style and removed non-notable alumni and a whole section on the "DC Men's League" that was speedily deleted as an article yesterday for failing to meet notability requirements. Please do not add this material back in. Ruhrfisch 00:09, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have recently edited this article after doing and evaluation of the school

references[edit]

I don't know how to add references, but dccs.org is our school's website. There's tons of pictures and stuff for verification. Billytrousers (talk) 18:53, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

low importance[edit]

I'd just like to say that this school should probably be considered of mid level importance rather than low importance. The details on this page are minor details, and are not just of specialist interest. Billytrousers (talk) 16:45, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alum?[edit]

This was left on my user page: Why did you delete my edit on the Delco County Christian website? Do you feel that Dan Visser is not a significant alum? Even if you are not a fan of athletics, I feel that you should have let my edit there. Thank you.

This was presumably in reference to my removing the following: One famous athletic alum of DC is Daniel Visser. He went onto win 3 consecutive NCAA division 3 national championships with Messiah College. In his final season, he was placed on the All-Region team. He was then planning to play with the Harrisburg City Islanders, a professional soccer team in the USL Division 2 until he tore his ACL.

My general policy on including notable people in school and locality articles is that the person should either already have their own article here, or else be clearly notable as shown by a reference to a reliable source - see WP:NN for the notability guidelines. I also note that WP:BLP says unsources material on living persons can be removed by anyone. This is unsourced, the person has no article here, and the level of detail seems excessive - what does a torn ACL have to do with this school? I also think that the person (who is probably a great guy and very nice) is not notable enough as an athlete to have an article here (I am also not notable enough for my own article).

If anyone wants to write a well-sourced article on him and then add him in as a notable alum, feel free to do so. Until then, he stays out, hope this makes it clearer Ruhrfisch ><>°° 04:42, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
