Death Race (1976 film) is a more appropriate title. The original article "Death Race" is now a redirect for the 2008 movie.

Clean Up[edit]

This article needs a serious clean-up. Much of the information was gleaned from my work on the MAME and Retrocade history databases (now maintained by Alexis Bousiges) and as such, is in need of some organization. As my time is limited and I'm not versed in Wiki-technique, anyone who wishes to undertake this task can contact me by going to orubin.com and emailing me at the webmaster email address. I can help with cites and other information.- Brian Deuel 71.205.181.171 (talk) 06:10, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CANNOT be emulated?[edit]

I fail to see why it should be impossible to emulate a TTL circuit. There might not be an emulator currently in existence that does it, but there doesn't seem to be anything inherently impossible about it. I marked the statement as "citation needed", if you have a source that proves TTL circuit emulation is indeed physically impossible, please add it. Thanks! 5-- 77.189.23.65 (talk) 04:59, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An image used in this article, File:Death Race - Exidy arcade cabinet.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Release date[edit]

The article claims that Exidy released games under this title starting from 1974, which seems impossible, since the movie that inspired this game was made in 1975. However, they seem to have made racing games before Death Race. The information is sourced, but the source seems erroneous. Wikikrax (talk) 11:54, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, the confusion seems to relate to the fact that it is Exidy that is started in 1974, not Death Race. I'll just remove the mention, since it is not informative of Death Race, only of Exidy itself. Wikikrax (talk) 11:56, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
