Developer, not inventer[edit]

Klien did not invent the Jelly Belly and the sources do not make the claim. He had the idea for the outrageous flavors and the Goelitze company had already developed the flavored centers and higher quality outer coating that is the hallmark of the candy.--Amadscientist (talk) 08:40, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Exactly. This article had an incredibly pro-Klein/anti-Goelitz POV, which I just cleaned up a bit. Klein made a bad business decision, regrets it, and now he and his supporters want to make Goelitz out to have somehow been the bad guy, for making a good business decision. • Also, because of the POV concerns with claiming Klein "invented" the Jelly Belly, when the sources don't support that claim--and it's pretty clear he did not "invent" them--I would request that such information not be readded to the article. TinLash already readded it once, and it should not happen again. LHM 05:40, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Goelitz basically said if Klein didn't agree, he'd take him to court until he lost the game of attrition, as he had no way to afford a decent lawyer. Factor that into your "bad decision" claptrap. Talk about POV, have you guys even seen the Documentary? You can't just bash one POV and then stick up for another as if its neutral. - Relative of Klein, as opposed to suspicious gathering of pro-Goelitzers above.
