Death

Was very sorry to hear of his death, does anyone know the details? (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 14:18, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

It's been pretty widely reported by all the major news services, and the link next to his dates of birth and death is to his official site (maintained by one of his sons), which was the first to break the story. Canonblack 16:38, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Darren had a major stroke in 1999, and his health was in decline for the past several years.

His middle name was not Lyle, it was Leland.

Actually, Lyle WAS his middle name -- he is one of the writers on the film he also appeared in, "Zero to Sixty". If you doubt this, then ask the webmaster at his official website at www.darrenmcgavin.net

One of the greatest people in the 20th and 21st century. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.67.234.217 (talk) 02:13:26, August 18, 2007 (UTC)

"It is unclear whether McGavin was in naval or other military service in World War II, although he was then in his early twenties and thus eligible." Whys this here, its unsourced and essiantly says nothing, it does not say that he was in the military, but it does not say that he was not, suggesting that he was with no proof. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 15:02, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
