Unsourced biographical data[edit]

The cheese salesman description of Harry Cohen can be found in SF Gate, but that is not a reliable source. Family members of Cy Coben say that Harry was a wholesale butcher in NYC who sold meat to restaurants.

Most of the unsourced statements in the first paragraph of the Bio section are correct, according to his family members. He was the youngest son (four older sisters and an older brother, surviving to adulthood out of 12) of Harris ("Harry") Cohen and Nettie Brandt Cohen, and was originally named Seymour Cohen. He did spend several years in the Navy during WW2, serving in the South Pacific (mainly on the island of Munda) as a pharmacist's mate.

The cheese salesman story again[edit]

That cheese salesman story is utter nonsense. Harry Cohen was my grandfather and Cy was my uncle. Harry was a wholesale butcher who supplied kosher restaurants in NYC with meat. He died in 1931. PraeceptorIP (talk) 02:45, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
