This structure provides clarity to what would have ostensibly been an otherwise ambiguous section.

Early history

A great section, detailing the ground-laying of a financial institution. Great job.

Acquisitions, first growth, and First Boston

"In 2006 Credit Suisse acknowledged misconduct for helping Iran and other countries hide transactions from US authorities and paid a $536 million settlement." Comma after 2006 and, also, is there a specific case article on Wikipedia regarding the misconduct?
