Hello! I added headings to this article and outlined various aspects of this beetle in terms of its physiology, physical description, global affect, and it's life history. I left the image and taxobox the same, thank you! User: E.kidest/talk

I enjoyed reading through this article. I made a couple of changes by rewording certain phrases and restructuring certain parts of the article to make it more cohesive. I also added a part about how this beetle uses a stridulatory mechanism to produce sound, which I found to be pretty interesting. Finally, one change that should be made is to make the citations visible publicly. --Jaden.l17 (talk) 20:35, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review: Great article! I like the amount of detail added and structure of paragraphs. I added some hyperlinks within the descirption section to add context and details to the article. I also separated the "Life History" and "The Conotrachelus and acorns" section into split paragraphs in order to create a little more division within the article for easier reading.Amandayu19 (talk) 17:47, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

Hi! I found your article enjoyable to read. It was cool to see the global effects of the beetle. I revised some of the wording in the introductory paragraph to make the information more accessible. NHanselman (talk) 06:32, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Description section[edit]

It seems you have information in this section that could have been in its own more specific section, like food sources or breeding and life cycle. You can consider creating more sections instead of putting a variety of information all in the description. MiJiEm (talk) 20:24, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Citing research papers/studies[edit]

There were a few places where a scientific paper or a study was written out with the author name as well. I think this disrupts the flow of the article, so it should be replaced by in-text citations. The sentences surrounding these article names should then be adjusted accordingly once the names are taken out. MiJiEm (talk) 20:37, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Species names[edit]

Throughout the article, there are names added after the species name. An example is in the first sentence of the life history section, where LeConte, Boheman, and Casey follows C. naso, C. posticatus, and C. carinifer, respectively. I'm not sure these names are necessary, I think the species names themselves are sufficient. MiJiEm (talk) 20:43, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer review: Article was a good read. The article went into a good amount of depth without going overboard. The only changes I made were some minor grammatical changes. I think one area that could be improved is the organization of the overall article. It may also be possible forsome of the information in the introduction to be separated into their own subsections.
