disambiguation links[edit]

User:212.242.58.122 I simple reverted your edits this time. You continuously destroy the disambiguation links on your edits. Can you please take some care NOT to do this every time? Near all edits between yours are users repairing the same disambiguation links over and over again. Twthmoses 17:25, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Connie Nielsen.jpg[edit]

Image:Connie Nielsen.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:48, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use of movie screenshot[edit]

The image [[Image:Conniesmall.jpg]] is not allowed as per image use policy because it is a film screenshot that is not specific to the subject of the article. Under fair use, it can only be used in the article about the movie, not in the article about one of the actors. Further, the image itself was tagged incorrectly as a 'self' work when it clearly needs to be categorized as Template:Non-free film screenshot. More to the point, it's completely unnecessary and pointless. If it was added just because she's naked, that's cute but it's incorrect nonetheless.

Mike Payne, if you have issues with this, please let me know so we can take this to ARBCOM. Thanks. Otherwise I'll consider this little revert war over. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.231.58.143 (talkcontribs)

File:Connie-nielsen1.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Connie-nielsen1.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Connie-nielsen1.jpg)
