Coastal–Karst Statistical RegionLittoral–Inner Carniola Statistical Region – The region has been renamed from 'Obalno-kraška statistična regija' to 'Primorsko-notranjska statistična regija' with a regulation published in the Official Journal of the European Union.[1][2]. I don't see how WP:OFFICIAL would apply in this case, because there is no common English name for this entity. How many sources using the term 'Coastal–Karst Statistical Region' can you find? --Eleassar my talk 13:32, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question: is it a simple renaming of an individual statistical region, or it a new system of statistical regions that partially reproduces the previous system? The Official Journal of the European Union link[3] has SI03/SI04 codes, whereas the previous system had SI01/SI02 codes. (If it's a new system, then Coastal–Karst Statistical Region would be a historical statistical region rather than a renamed one.) In any case, if the Slovene name is Primorsko-notranjska statistična regija, then Littoral–Inner Carniola Statistical Region is the best English name.
