Fares[edit]

Not going to do anything about it now, but just adding my opinion. IMHO, actual operating hours and fees are tourist information available from the Web site, and not encyclopedic. They are not needed, subject to change without notice, and generally should not be included. Donlammers (talk) 15:13, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Public or Private?[edit]

It's not entirely clear whether the park is publicly owned and open completely to the public, or perhaps parts of it are privately owned or operated. Also "sealed road" is not entirely comprehensible to speakers of American English - presumably it means something like "limited-access" but that's a term we apply mostly to major highways. Any help appreciated. Smallbones(smalltalk) 18:38, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

These questions might have been addressed already in the article. It is public land, maintained by the South Australian Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR). A sealed road is a road that has asphalt or tar on the top, rather than merely formed earth or gravel. It is a term about the construction, not access. --Scott Davis Talk 04:35, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May 2016 additions[edit]

There has been a lot of material added to this article recently. The material may be useful, but it does not appear to be specific to Cleland. I don't want to just drop it all, but don't know if it is already covered elsewhere or which articles it should be moved to. --Scott Davis Talk 04:35, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I also recently noticed the above situation and have the following preliminary comments in respect to the following sections:
  1. “IUCN Classification” is ‘off-topic ‘and its content already appears in IUCN Red List.
  2. “Protected Area and Biodiversity Conservation” is ‘off-topic‘ and some of its content already covered by Protected areas of South Australia and IUCN protected area management categories. Content about threatened species in South Australia in this and other sections in the article could be moved to a new article (preferably prepared in list format) - a quick investigation reveals that there is about 1000 species of plants and animals listed by the SA government and therefore, such an article would take some time to prepare even if it was written as a list. However, this article would arguably be of ‘low importance’ because the list of threatened species already exists in other sources such as the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972.
  3. “Conservation Prioritization and Management Plans“ is ‘off-topic ‘and some of its content already appears in Protected areas of South Australia.
  4. The following sections are all “off-topic” - “Biodiversity Threatening Processes in Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges (AMLR)“, “Native Plants and Animals Biodiversity in Adelaide Mount Lofty Ranges“ and “Long-term Monitoring of Species and Ecosystem“. Some of the content could be relocated to existing articles if not already there and new articles after any required upgrading (i.e. removal of Harvard referencing for starters).
