"Christian Heritage" Discussion Page[edit]

List of staff[edit]

From WikiProject Schools:

Faculty — State the number of faculty members, statistics on faculty, student-to-teacher ratio, etc. Distinguish between tenure/nontenured, full- and part-time (if possible). Names of noteworthy (e.g. award-winning, published) faculty of the past can be mentioned. Generally timeless information (such as published teachers) is preferred over transitory information (like the exact number of math teachers at a point in time).

In my interpretation of this, if a faculty member is notable, then include them, but if there isn't anything to distinguish them from the thousands of others of educators, don't list them. Metros232 23:01, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the information. I suggest WatchHawk should discuss here their deesire for it, before adding it back. A link to the school web site (not present yet), would likely give this information, and be up-to-date. --Rob 14:20, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The school is very small and does not have enough funds to, along with everything else, buy the webspace for and maintain a website for it, and the workers wouldn't have time to edit and keep the website up to date. I don't get the problem with this; it is an encylcopedia article, you come to it for information about the school. The staff list gives information of what classes are taught, and who teaches them. Now, I know the elementary part is shabby, but I'm not in elementary, so I don't know much about the elementary teachers/what who teaches. Also, the people who already go there can, like I said, come here to find out who is teaching what, to know more about them. The list is going to stay.--WatchHawk 00:16, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fail to see why your school lacking funds means that Wikipedia should build a website for it. Many people/organizations/etc don't have funds for websites. Shall we give them all articles, too? WatchHawk, I admire your persistence and passion to recognize CHS here on Wikipedia. A Google search turned up the following URLs containing stats on CHS which you might incorporate. Licensing and accrediation[edit]

As a private school, the main thing this article needs is verification of its licensing and accreditation status. It's not accredited with ACSI. So, we should see who it is accredited with, and confirm the state recognizes is. --Rob 09:46, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Compensation for Teachers[edit]

WatchHawk writes:

However, according to the YWAM website, it reads (emphasis added):

All missionaries raise their own support as no one, including the founders, are salaried. The only exception goes to people who teach in any of the YWAM schools. The distinction is that they are paid for their services as teachers and not missionaries or staff.

The teachers at CHS are not paid financially. Considering I go to this school, I think I would know a little better than you. They act as missionaries for teaching here, because they are not paid, and have to make their own income, and various teachers have supporters(i.e family, churches) which send them money.--WatchHawk 17:16, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, there is absolutely no reason for you to merge it to here. ONE person on the AfD page suggested a merge, everyone else has suggested a delete. It does NOT belong here just because his mother teaches at this school. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Metros232 (talk • contribs) .

I suggest you look for a free web page, like one at http://www.geocities.com , which will let you write whatever you want about whoever you want, with interference. Also, you *might* be able to put a short comment about this guy you know on your user page. Generally, what you put on your user page is left alone by others, as long as its not advertising or anything harmful. Nobody here likes removing your work.
