Bale is not "an English actor".[edit]

Bale is not "an English actor" he is Welsh. He was born in Hwlffordd (Haverford West) in Wales. Randledj (talk) 15:53, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bale is English, not Welsh. He has said that he is English, not Welsh. A person whose parents aren't Welsh isn't Welsh just because his mother happened to be in Wales the day she gave birth. See all the previous discussions about this, such as this one. Largoplazo (talk) 16:22, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see you edited by mobile, so probably didn't see the massive talk page header:

{{editnotice | header = STOP. It says - when formatted:

STOP. Are you about to ask for a change in Christian Bale's nationality from English to Welsh?

Please read the discussion at Talk:Christian Bale/Archive_1#British/Welsh/English in the lead. The community has agreed that, at the moment, the article should reflect Bale's self-identified nationality (English). Note that repeated requests to change this can be disruptive unless new information is provided, and your edit may be summarily removed.

As you can tell, this has been discussed before. It's also covered in the article itself: Bale has remarked, "I was born in Wales but I'm not Welsh—I'm English."[1] Chaheel Riens (talk) 16:25, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
