John Wakeham[edit]

When John Wakeham was seriously injured in the bombing of the Grand Hotel in Brighton in 1984 he was absent from Parliament for some time. Although he remained in office officially, my understanding is that the day to day functions of the Chief Whip were carried out by his deputy John Cope, the Treasurer of the Household. Should a note be added to show this? Dunarc (talk) 22:49, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
