Proposed deletion[edit]

Mr. Plummer was a highly influential, and controversial, sheriff for ala cty sheriff dept. he was vilified by the antiwar protesters prior to his tenure as sheriff, and was a strong "law and order" sheriff in a county known for its progressive/liberal values, which often were in conflict with his stance (which was also supported strongly by many citizens). internet references are admittedly hard to find, but print refs from the 60s forward should be available. I of course have no problem with this article going to AFD if anyone believes he still doesnt meet notability.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 16:59, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed; I would have deprodded this if you had not already done so. GNews shows a large number of potential sources behind paywalls. --Arxiloxos (talk) 17:47, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
