Military Career?[edit]

Hi. How come there is no mention of his military career? Did the guy with the best score or performance in military academy history of the United States have a military career? I would think or hope there would be some interesting stuff on this topic. Either way, actually. I am currently in the middle of other research so I can't pursue the question. But maybe somebody else can take me up on it, and check it out? Have fun... Regards... Steve Stevenmitchell (talk) 16:23, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Mason's West Point record was surpassed in 1884[edit]

Irving Hale graduated from West Point in 1884 with 2070.4 points out of a possible 2075 (99.7783%), while Charles Mason graduated with 1,995.5 out of a possible 2,000 (99.75%). It's close, but Mason is the 2nd highest score ever achieved at West Point, knocking Lee down to 3rd and MacArthur to 4th. -MVD31590 (talk) 03:38, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
