Abolitionist??[edit]

Is it accurate to describe him as an abolitionsist at all? The article says that he appears to have been an abolitionist because the supported an article. But it doesn't say that he was an abolitionist. This discrepancy is keeping me from approving it at DYK? Dincher (talk) 01:38, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Issue Is Never the Issue, The Issue Is Always Revolution =[edit]

Most of these people were racists, and they didn't care about slavery at all. 80% of the Union officers had spent their time fighting the Native Americans (1830s-1850s) and stealing their land. They were pushing for greater federal power, and the abomination of slavery was the easiest excuse they had. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.144.246.119 (talk) 19:08, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
