Wallis Warfield[edit]

In speaking of Mary Doe (her maiden name) and John Smith, the correct style is to say, "the wedding of Mary Doe and John Smith." It is incorrect to say, "the wedding between Mary Smith and John Smith."

I corrected the paragraph about the marriage between Wallis Warfield, and Edward, Duke of Windsor. Edward was created Duke of Windsor before the wedding took place. However, she was Wallis Warfield until the wedding was over. At the moment the wedding was complete she became Wallis, Duchess of Windsor.

Thanks, you're right of course. I have a hard time keeping royalty straight and didn't catch my error there.CindyBotalk 17:37, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure she wasn't Wallis Simpson? Valetude (talk) 16:40, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bedaux and Nazi Germany[edit]

To Bedaux’s delight, the Windsors enthusiastically embraced the idea of making a tour of Nazi Germany.

There is nothing in the preceding text about any connection between Bedaux and Nazi Germany. Presumably something has been deleted. Valetude (talk) 17:20, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
