The article isn't consistent. It says that the school is the sister school of Central Foundation Boys' School. Then it says it isn't.

History[edit]

The Central Foundation Schools were created in 1891 under the aegis of Rev William Rogers with assistance from the Alleyn Foundation which funded a number of children to the school on free scholarships. These schools incorporated the previous boys and girls schools of Bishopsgate Ward and St Ethelburga Charity. A new school building was opened for the Girls School in Spital Sq in 1892.

In 1944 the school became a Voluntary Aided Grammar School and all fees were abolished.

In 1975 the school moved to Bow.
