Liquid Air construction 2022[edit]

There is an existing link from page Cryogenic energy storage to page Carrington, Greater Manchester which references the Highview Power commercial liquid air grid storage plant that is under construction at this site. I was wondering if it is worth adding a section to this page linking back to those other pages. Proposed text could be:

Future Liquid Air Grid Storage - The site is being expanded - due for completion in 2022 - to include a liquid air cryogenic energy storage plant operated by Highview Power. This nearby plant is planned to have a peak generation capacity of 50 MW and a storage capacity of 250 MWh. [1]

I would also like to note a small assumption that I have made: That the site of this construction is the same site as the existing fossil gas turbine. I note that the photograph in the press release from Highview Power includes two chimneys in the background that look extremely similar to the photo of Carrington power station on a popular mapping site. Is further evidence needed?

I'd like to invite comments on this proposed edit before I make it. Thanks. jwal (talk) 11:28, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

Does anybody have a free image of the station they could upload? There isn't a single one on the internet as far as I can tell. Fintan264 (talk) 13:23, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
