Carlos[edit]

Carlos Averhoff (6 de diciembre de 1947 - 23 de diciembre de 2016) fue un músico de jazz cubano conocido principalmente por tocar el saxofón tenor . Le han llamado "Carlos Averhoff 'Sax'". Por último estuvo radicado en Miami, Florida . Nació en Matanzas , y en Cuba inicialmente tuvo formación clásica. En 1973 reemplazó a Paquito D'Rivera en la "Orquesta Cubana de Música Moderna (OCMM)" ya que el gobierno lo había declarado "reaccionario". [1] También estuvo involucrado en la música Timba . Su hijo Carlos Averhoff, Jr "Sax" también es músico. [2] Averhoff murió a la edad de 69 años en Miami,[3] 2800:CD0:7B07:F500:CD61:7452:4D5E:D068 (talk) 13:38, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
