Article scope/name[edit]

I suggest leaving the name of this article as "Camp Quality" and having it cover both the US and Australian organisations, i.e. would not suggest renaming it to "Camp Quality USA", even though the article is currently focussed on the US organisation. It now appears to only discuss the Australian organisation, with no detail about the current scope of activities, or any comprehensive list of countries (and contact details) where CQ operates. --Haryadoon1 (talk) 05:54, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request[edit]

See my declared conflict of interest here.

Camp Quality is a series of separate organisations around the world with a common name and goal. I propose that the history section of this article is changed to only refer to the initial creation of Camp Quality by Vera Entwhistle (backed up by decent secondary sources), and all information about the separate organisations around the world (including date of establishment) is shifted to their own localised section, where they can be updated by relevant individuals/editors.

My proposed History section copy is as follows:

Camp Quality was established by Vera Entwistle in 1983 in Sydney, Australia, with the aim to provide a support network for children living with cancer and their families.[1] [2] The name of the organisation was sourced from a conversion with a paediatric oncologist, who told Entwistle that "No one can do anything about the quantity of life, but we all can do something about the quality."[3]

Entwistle later introduced Camp Quality to several countries, including her home country, the United States.[4]

Hey JoshCQ, I responded to your edit request. To the community - this is my first time doing this so I hope it was done right, but I don't see an issues with these edits and they have already been made. JacobMW (talk) 14:42, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The Chicago Tribune piece was an editorial, so it has been removed as a reference from the article.  Spintendo  ᔦᔭ  22:00, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Entwistle[edit]

per this is apparently from the UK, then moved to the US, and eventually ended up in Australia. Per this she and her husband are in the Community of Christ and have moved around a lot apparently (?) as her husband has gotten different jobs in that institution. Apparently they were in China between the US and Australia. Anyway, not adding this to the article but just wanted to explain why I removed "her home country" referring to the US. Out of Date[edit]

Could someone from the organisation itself, or someone who knows the organisation well, please bring this article up to date? It should at the very least list all of the countries that CQ operates in and include their local URLs. It's clear that, like may non-profits, CQ is an umbrella group that operates independent national (and perhaps even state or province) organisations in different countries. A quick stroll through the web shows that CQ Canada uses campquality.org but CQ USA uses campqualityusa.org, and the (original?) CQ in Australia uses campquality.org.au. --Haryadoon1 (talk) 06:04, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
