Advertising[edit]

This article reads too much like an advertisement. Please revamp this article to be a description of the subject without promotional terms like "cutting-edge technology". Also "most powerful" is still unqualified. All your link does is establish that your subject is at the top of some list. If these issues aren't fix, I'm going to have to recommend for AfD. Also, please avoid removing tags without explanation, as this can get push your account towards being blocked for 24 hours, or even banned. I'm assuming good faith here. I'm just asking that you bring your article inline with wikipedia rules. Fcsuper 16:46, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thanks and explainations, and hel needed[edit]

Hi FCsuper Thank you for your advice. Sorry for removing the tag. I've cut promotional words, but I think I still need help/explainations.

You say "Also "most powerful" is still unqualified. All your link does is establish that your subject is at the top of some list".

The Top 500 list I linked to qualify the sentence CINECA is the most powerful supercomputing center in Italy is not "some list": among people working with supercomputers, both technicians and researchers, Top500 is a well known list of the most important supercomputing centers in the world. This is "the" list. If it states that CINECA is the most powerful supercomputing center in Italy, what is anybody supposed to say other than that?

Please, check BSC: ... It hosts MareNostrum, Europe's most powerful (and the world's fifth most powerful) supercomputer as of November 2006... is this sentence qualified? The link leads to the list of events occourred in november 2006... it does not seem qualifying to me...

About the conflict of interest Was it better if I used an anonimous username? I'm not hiding behind a name, and I'm pretty confident that what I wrote is not advertising: please, check BSC, and EPCC, FZJ: these are supercomputing centers as Cineca is. Please check if now the article is ok.

Thanks again, hope to see the tags removed soon!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cineca (talkcontribs) 16:04, 16 May 2007 (UTC). Cineca 16:36, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
