Rocketry

An IP user with an obvious interest in amateur rocketry, 97.93.90.46 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), added a large amount of material based entirely on primary sources.[1] He argues that the BATFE exceeds its remit by regulating non-explosive rocket fuel. However it isn't the place of Wikipedia to advance original arguments. Because the material violates WP:OR and WP:NPOV, I am reverting his edits. If similar material, based on secondary sources, can be presented in a neutral way, then I have no objection to it. Felsic2 (talk) 01:30, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

I've added a summary of the issue.[2]. I couldn't find many secondary sources about the outcome, so I'm sure it can be improved. Felsic2 (talk) 16:30, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Criticism section?

It occurs to me whenever I read about events that the ATF are involved in, there's sometimes an absurd amount of violence disproportionate to other agencies, and a lot of controversy surrounding them. So it would make sense that there are probably journalists who would criticise them. Not to mention that alcohol, tobacco and firearms are all actually legal in the US, which, again, I'd imagine would garnish some criticism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.227.83.117 (talk) 19:47, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Illustration of ATF Badge is of a Plaque Based on a Chinese Fake

These fake ATF badges are available on eBay from vendors in China, which are being sold as "obsolete," "cosplay" or "novelty items." [1] The give-away in this case is the lettering on the seal, which reads "Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive" ("Explosive" is erroneously singular). I suggest we remove the illustration in the article until a genuine illustration can be found. Compare the seal on the fake badge to the apparently genuine seal for the Bureau. I am not including a link to eBay, as I do not wish to promote the sale of counterfeit badges. However, if you click on my reference below, you will see another example of this fake ATF badge design (downloaded from an eBay ad). Taz Hood (talk) 14:14, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
