  • ... that Bumper is Bumper Pool's legal name? Source: "The sophomore linebacker, originally from Lucas, Texas, confirmed that his real name is Bumper Pool" [[1]]
    • ALT1: ... that Bumper Pool legally changed his name to Bumper, because of his father's childhood love for bumper pool, when he was 16? Source: "Bumper Pool was named James Morris Pool at birth but legally changed his name to Bumper when he turned 16 with his parents’ blessing." [[2]]

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: No - See below
QPQ: None required.

Overall: Article was created on 12 August and RPS is currently (barely) over 1500 bytes. Sourcing looks good and Earwig shows no issues with copyvio or close paraphrasing. No QPQ is required as the nominator doesn't have any previous DYK credits. My only issue is with the hooks, as they are both a touch underwhelming in my opinion. I'm not a fan of ALT0, though I think ALT1 will be good with perhaps a small omission or addition. I think giving the origin of the (rather unique) name as explained in the article is a neat fact that could spice up the hook that is otherwise already fairly interesting, given that he changed his name at such a young age. Hi there, I have changed the ALT1 hook so that it is hopefully now "spiced up". If you would, please take a second to review it again. Thank You! -- BullDawg2021 (talk)
