How can u call this a "suv"? It is a two wheel drive.I would not go off road with this "CAR". This Article sounds like a disgusting ad piece and has ridiculous POV issues. Please get rid of marketing-speak —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.85.224.50 (talk) 10:26, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is on a truck chassis, I daily drive one of these and have gone offroading and I would say its reliable but I wouldn’t recommend jumping one into mud like a pickup truck, its a big vehicle for what it is and handles like an suv Jokesonyou66667 (talk) 21:56, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To unsigned: It is offered with optional AWD. it's more of a "crossover-SUV"

but I agree, it is somewhat poorly written. The 2006 model claims to have a 3.5 V6 as standard, but no reference to it - not even listed in the sidebar-summary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.182.144.2 (talk) 04:36, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"but was not meant for boulder-climbing Rubicon Trail-type activities".[edit]

Transmission type[edit]

Rendezvous has 6-speed (6-gear) transmission, and every time I try to correct that info in the article I got blocked/banned.

If "label" on transmission goes like this: "P-R-N-D-3-2-1" that doesn't mean it has 4 GEARS!!! Get on a highway and count it yourself, around 60mph it will switch to 6th gear Tatko vr (talk) 23:32, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

GM didn't even make a 6-speed automatic transaxle until 2008. Car and Driver confirms that it was a four-speed, and parts listings show it to be the 4T65-E. --Sable232 (talk) 22:31, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I bought my 2004 Rendevous in 2006, and I still have it. Let me give you keys of it so you can see yourself that it has 6 gears, not 4! I'm serious! tatko_vr at yahoo Let me know, I'm in Chicago. (We can put some money on it if you like) Tatko vr (talk) 01:41, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
