Untitled[edit]

This article is very poorly written; mainly because the plot description changes tense a number of times. It is a confusing read. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.121.17 (talk) 02:46, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

reason for delay[edit]

Isn't reasoning that the film was delayed due to an increase in patriotism and respect for the military a bit loaded? Is this a quote from the production team, or can these things be quantitatively measured? --CH —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.249.186.219 (talk) 02:36, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

origin of name[edit]

Can someone clarify why the movie was called Buffalo Soldiers? I've researched who the original Buffalo Soldiers were, but can't see the link to this film. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.129.100.250 (talk) 22:59, 19 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

See 53:20 on the DVD Director's Commentary - the explanation is that the soldiers in this movie are those who are disenfranchised without anything to gain from their poor position as runts of the military apparatus. He then compares that to the real Buffalo Soldiers who had nothing to gain fighting the Native Americans, and he argues that's why the soldiers were named as such by the Native Americans. In the movie, the line "look at you Buffalo Soldier" wasn't used but it was in the book in the "aren't you sick of being f'd by a white man" scene he adds. There you go. Fair use rationale for Image:Buffalo Soldiers film poster.jpg[edit]

Image:Buffalo Soldiers film poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
