I have absolutely no connection to this organization, but I can only imagine that the person who submitted the prod doesn't live in Northern California, or at least doesn't read the papers. The Buck Institute is not some fly-by-night, two-bit operation. It is a hugely-endowed research center (hundreds of millions of dollars) doing cutting-edge research on regenerative medicine on their very impressive custom-built campus. I've included a link to their interoperations with the University of California, and there's much of that sort of thing available on the web. I get 92,000 Google hits on them. With all due respect, I can't imagine a more clear-cut case for notability. -- P L E A T H E R talk 20:39, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for making the notability clear. Springnuts 11:14, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
