Name Change[edit]

West Virginia State Community and Technical College's new name is Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College. This was officially announced on April 20, 2009. Next month, the community college will begin work on the visual design elements in completing its new identity. The administration expects the whole process to be completed by fall 2009. Motto[edit]

"Your College of Opportunity" definitely seems to be a marketing slogan, not a motto. Examples of actual mottos include West Virginia State University's "A living laboratory of human relations" and Marshall University's "Owning the opportunity, we are Marshall." If the anonymous IP user who keeps adding "Your College of Opportunity" back wants to keep it, they need to provide an actual citation documenting it is indeed the official motto for Kanawha Valley CTC.
