Notable alumni- Loris Cecchini[edit]

I keep on deleting Loris Cecchini from the list of notable alumni. I don't think he is one of the most important people formed in Brera in the last centuries... --Carlomartini86(Knock-Knock) 12:44, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's always going to be a mess; a common rule of thumb is "no article here, no listing". I suggest creating a separate List of alumni of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, and (re)moving all but, say, the 10 most truly notable to that list. That would leave space to say a little more about those that remain. I suggest that, whatever else, only those whose attendance is attested by an reliable independent source should be included here, and that there's a round of checking to make sure all those currently listed actually went there. Thorvaldsen caught my eye, for example. Our article on him says, just as I expected it to, that he studied in Denmark and then went to live in Rome. When was he in Milan? Nor does our article on Canova make any mention of a period of study in Milan; is there some good source for that (I know he has a sculpture in the gallery, but that doesn't make him an alumnus)?
