Dialect - local or widely used?[edit]

I am curious about if the pronunciation used in this film is widely used in New-Zealand or is it a local dialect? It was hard to understand for me. --Misibacsi (talk) 10:25, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the dialogue was in what I would call a rural Maori accent. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 19:28, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
this is pretty usual slang here in new zealand, but more of a rural type of slang. 122.56.74.147 (talk) 22:18, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, the external link to the official website for the film is now a dead link and should be removed. Best! Amjones02 (talk) 19:33, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Highest grossing film in NZ[edit]

It was at the time, but according to the Wikipedia entry for the Wilderpeople film, that now has the record. Can there therefore be an edit in the lede so that it doesn’t appear to claim that Boy is - now - the highest grossing? Boscaswell talk 08:21, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

On Waihau Bay[edit]

The link to Waihau Bay doesn't take you to another wikipedia page and should either have a citation added to it or have link features deleted entirely.Amjones02 (talk) 19:37, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Taika's Accolades[edit]

It might be useful to update Taika's accolades section at the bottom to include some of his recent projects? Like his producing and starring role in Our Flag Means Death (2022-)?Amjones02 (talk) 19:43, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
