Recreation in Bowlus, MN[edit]

Hi Wikipedians!

I am a new editor to Wikipedia and this will be my first ever edit, so feel free to leave as much constructive criticism as you'd like. Bowlus is my hometown and although it's really small, I still think its Wikipedia page could benefit from extra information regarding recreation in the town like other towns and cities in Minnesota (like Brooklyn Park, MN) beyond basic history and demographic information.

Bowlus is known for its annual "Bowlus Fun Day," mostly known as Bowlus Days to the locals. https://cityofbowlus.com/LocalAttractions/BowlusFunDays It is held the first Sunday in July and has been an annual event for over 30 years. The event is sponsored by the local fire department and serves as a fundraiser for new equipment. https://www.hometownsource.com/morrison_county_record/news/local/after-25-years-bowlus-fun-day-continues-to-delight-people-of-all-ages/article_e0c0cab7-1b3b-5b06-96b9-62c7f2ea9b55.html It may not seem very important, but the town's meager population gets about 1,000 visitors in one single day and is often regarded as the event of the year.

This very well may be way too big of an edit for my first try at Wikipedia, but I figured I would go big or go home. I appreciate your thoughts before I make any actual edits. Mplsgrl95 (talk) 02:04, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
