"Bocconi is the best university in economics in Italy and is recognized as one of the best business schools in Europe and in the world." Financial Times --- this statement is unsourced...

Restructured most of the article according to the WikiProject Universities standards. Need more photos! And where is the logo? 151.37.39.155 20:15, 7 October 2007 (UTC) (Stormharmony)[reply]

Ok, I made some photos and uploaded them myself. Hope they're alright Stormharmony 15:45, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article is really good. "Bocconi is the best university in economics in Italy and is recognized as one of the best business schools in Europe and in the world." I can confirm this is true. --Nebu87 18:17, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Areas that could be elaborated on[edit]

  • History (more sections, esp. on creation of courses, old campus, internationalisation, common history with IULM, etc.)
  • Campus (more numbers/details on facilities)
  • Academics (a section with details on rankings)
  • Research (more details on research activities and researchers)
  • Student life (rankings of sport team, etc.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stormharmony (talkcontribs) 19:41, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Magazzini Bocconi photo[edit]

I added a photo I took of La Rinascente under the History section, but I would like to know whether everyone else agrees with it. I personally deem that it played an important role in the foundation of the university, although others might argue that it is no longer relevant to the university itself. What do you think? University Ranking[edit]

Other links showing that Bocconi has been ranked No.1 in Fortune's "Value for Money" MBA's several years http://www.oie.gatech.edu/sa/programs/show.html?id=bocc http://economiaemanagement.corriere.it/dynuni/dyn/Universita/Allegati/IMP%20Brochure%207-04.pdf Apparently the old links on the SDA Bocconi websites are dead.

This is the new link on SDA Bocconi News, with the Wall Street Journal rankings http://mba.sdabocconi.it/home/main.php?id=12001&ym=2007-09 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.47.137.178 (talk) 13:37, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Double Degrees vs Exchange programs[edit]

On the following link you can find the complete list of the Double Degree programs at Bocconi. Not to be confused with the Exchange programs, which are of course at a wider range of universities but don't constitute a major additional certificate as in a double degree. http://www.unibocconi.it/index.php?proc_id=65&nav_level1=7&nav_level2=2473&nav_level3=2488&documento=0&procedura=0&sub_action=0&sub_param=&sub_function_title= —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stormharmony (talkcontribs) 21:04, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of alumni rather than category[edit]

I think the list on the page itself gives a better overview of the alumni than the category, since the category doesn't contain all the names of people who don't have a wikipedia article yet are famous especially in Italy. If there is any way to include the names of those people without a wikipedia page in the category as well...? Additionally, many of the names do exist on the Italian Wikipedia article of this page! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.47.154.226 (talk) 18:38, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Graduate and postgraduate[edit]

The lede reads: "Bocconi provides undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate education". Don't the latter two mean the same thing? – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:40, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Superstitions[edit]

There is a superstition within the university that students who pass in-between the two lions via the central doors risk not being able to graduate. This derives from the old adage "Chi passa tra i Leoni non si laurea alla Bocconi." According to Google (which is admittedly not always correct), the Italian translates to "Whoever passes among the Lions does not graduate from Bocconi". Is that really a derivation? It seems more likely a blatant statement of the superstition. In order to be a derivation, the phrase must have existed first; if the phrase came first, then to what did it originally refer? 67.8.203.16 (talk) 17:19, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's unclear whether the phrase came first, or the actual superstition (I would lean towards the phrase being made prior, with the fact of it rhyming possibly being its origin). How would you change the statement in the article? Nehme1499 (talk) 18:18, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of New SANAA Campus into Bocconi University[edit]

Regardless of whether or not this passes WP:NBUILDING, there are times when it is better to cover a notable topics as part of a larger page about a broader topic, with more context. Rather than having a detached article about a building complex that contains relatively few details about the complex, I think this would be better covered in Bocconi University#campus alongside the other parts of the campus. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 19:57, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I believe that as new materials are added, the article can be well self-sufficient, especially given its architectural significance. Of course one can also expand the section on the campus in the main page of the university, too.--Plumbago Capensis (talk) 15:12, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
