Prophet of God article[edit]

@Muboshgu, @Ac94133, I see link to the article "Dodgers pitcher Blake Treinen is now promoting 'prophet of God' who took credit for Jan. 6 riots" has been removed and BLP is vaguely mentioned. Given the sourced reference, what would be the issue with including? | MK17b | (talk) 04:46, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mk17b, it's a potentially sensitive issue involving BLPs and post-1992 U.S. politics. Consensus needs to build to include it, not exclude. I'm not against it being included, I was acting (small-c) conservatively on BLP. If it goes back into the article, we should write appropriately, not with inappropriate language like far-right crank – Muboshgu (talk) 05:06, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure far right crank doesn't belong (didn't notice that wording previously as I didn't look closely at the included language). But I think a measured paragraph using the sourced article wouldn't be out of line or violating any Wikipedia rules without necessarily needing to build any wide consensus. Unless there are clear objections explaining why it doesn't belong. At least that's how I see it. | MK17b | (talk) 00:36, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to see what wording you are proposing before deciding if it belongs... he isn't a political figure so not sure that everything he promotes on instagram is notable.. and mentioning it here would only drive more attention to what is a pretty fringe group.
