Lakes do not have tributaries![edit]

Lakes do not have tributaries! I will leave it for someone to correct.
Tributaries flow into flowing water: rivers, brooks, creeks, streams, etc.
E.g. The Ohio River is a tributary of the Mississippi River, but the Niagara River is NOT a tributary of Lake Ontario because this is a lake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.67.161.184 (talk) 12:11, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have you checked your dictionary lately? Or even the tributary article. Seems pretty clear that lakes do have tributaries. olderwiser 13:45, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
