Some information that I would like to add to this article is more about the founder because I found a different person than the one they had said on the page. I researched the founder that they had and I can't even find her. I also found a lot of article from the LA times dating back to 1992 that I could talk about how they became popular. I also found images from the collection that supposedly brought the Birkenstocks into the spotlight, also found certain celebrities that wear Birkenstocks. On the Birkenstocks website I found a small timeline about the creator and the company and I would also like to add a lot about the footbeds and the materials used to make the footbed since that is what they are known for. Excited to learn more about my favorite shoes and the history of the company.
My understanding is that Birkenstock was bought out by Famous Footwear. This should be included in this article.

Famous Footwear now owns Birkenstock
My understanding is that Famous Footwear now owns Birkenstock. This should be included in the article.
