  • I'm not one of the editors that are editing, but the article is a result of discussions in Biodiesel, whereby we realized that the benefits/disadvantages of biodiesel are different for each country. Pharmboy (talk) 20:18, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I added an intro (rationale), moved the stub tag to the bottom and added an underconstruction tag, which should make the article immune to deletion for a few days while you guys fix it. I'm wasn't going to add to the article, but just did this to get it going. I'm done.  :) Pharmboy (talk) 20:49, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • final note (probably not): I would suggest sections on 1. Taxation comparisons of petro and bio 2. sulpher/acid rain/particulate comparisons, 3. homegrown vs. imported for both petro and biodiesel, and 4. a section on blending that includes the current practical limits. Of course, you aren't obligated to do squat, these are just things I would be interested in reading about and don't know anything about in the UK. Pharmboy (talk) 21:19, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biodiesel in the United KingdomBiofuel in the United Kingdom – It is the main article in the category. It should also include aviation fuel e.g. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/sustainable-fuels-to-power-raf-jets Chidgk1 (talk) 06:33, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Fuel is more encompassing. ~ HAL333 17:50, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Response to rewrite lead section (May 2023)[edit]

In the maintenance template, the reason provided for the request to rewrite the article's lead is that it's: "mostly about biodiesel in general rather than biofuel in the UK". I agree with the assessment and have provided a rewrite. Additionally, I've created a new heading titled "General" and moved the contents of the former lead there. From tone and content, the body of the article will need to be updated to include the recent governmental initiatives from 2021 regarding biofuel. I found the UK government's website to be extremely informative on this subject. HerBauhaus (talk) 14:56, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
