New York Blue Sox[edit]

I can find nothing in Google about a team called the New York Blue Sox except for Pinkney's various obituaries. Wikipedia's Negro League articles make no mention of them. Can anybody find any references? Corvus cornix 18:46, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Too bad Corvus cornix left in a huff 7 years ago. He'd enjoy this. Negro league baseball, a well researched and documented article has nothing about the Blue Sox. There may have been a team by that name somewhere in NYC, but if so, it's receded out of any notable memory. But the story gets better. In 2014, a one-time numerical editor changed one (perhaps imaginary) team to another definitely imaginary team—the "sandlot team of the NY Yankees." The whole shebang has now been edited out of Wikipedia. I still hope Corvus sees it. Tapered (talk) 04:53, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
