The page requires to be up-dated with historical perspective. I will try to do that as and when posible. --Bhadani 17:14, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

What's the flag mean?

What's the meaning of the flag she holds?

The flag is either a Tiranga, Indian's national flag, or a saffron flag, which is a traditional Indian flag with two points. In both cases, it represents India.

POV

Please dont add NPOV violation to the article as we, the sons of Bharath need it clean and tidy. Bharathamba is not a property of Hindus but she is the mother of all Indians, their caste or color doesnt matter. I believe that the Hinduism categorization does not suit the article.. The article needs to be wikified and requires maintenance. But the POV tag and the reason mentioned are questionable. The tag should be replaced with other maintenance tag to invite attention of editors. Anu Raj (talk)

the reson mentioned in the comment was - its an indian CLAIM that Bharat represents the country they hold. Not the original word that traversed modern boundaries, India is only 60 years old.The article is about the recognized National Personification of Republic of India. The ancient civilizations where not limited to international boundaries. Indian union acknowledge the ancient culture and use it for the national personification also. So does Indonesia. Anu Raj (talk) 17:06, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
