Lede[edit]

@Eliasd06: The WP:LEDE (which I realize you didn't write) seem both rather unencyclopedic and contradicts some of what you've added. It might be worth thinking about trying to reconcile that. —mako 00:50, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, there seems to be contradiction here -- is it a greasy spoon or does it serve fresh ingredients and vegetarian-friendly items? - Brianhe (talk) 00:53, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Alex's Feedback[edit]

Solid article with great information about Beth's Cafe. I particularly liked the history and 12-egg omelette "claim to fame" sections. Cannot wait to eat here, by the way. I'm coming for the triple bypass.

Suggestions for improvement: 1. I think this sentence needs a source: Beth's runs through more than 450,000 eggs per year. 2. Re: "Beth's celebrated its fortieth anniversary with weekly specials that included 1950's pricing and hosted a 1950's themed party." - If it was opened in 1954, wouldn't 2014 be it's sixtieth anniversary? Might want to double check on that. 3. Do we know why the owner of Beth's sold the restaurant in 2002? How many owners did it go through before it got to that point? Might be interesting information to include if you can find any info. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dowliad (talkcontribs) 16:31, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Alex! The source for 450,000 eggs is the same source used in the next sentence. I wasn't sure if I should have put it in there twice, in succession. And from what I got from my sources, the party was just a general 1950's decade themed party. Also, I tried to find information on any other sources and why the restaurant was being sold. Sources were very hard to find. Thanks again! ~~Eliasd06 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eliasd06 (talkcontribs) 23:35, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yiyun's Feedback[edit]

Hello, this is Yiyun! Here are some thoughts on this article: 1.In the second paragraph, the sentence "Beth's is open 24 hours a day." pops out suddenly and is not relative in context. I think it would be better to integrate it to first paragraph, where basic facts are talked about. For example, you may just say "Beth's Cafe is a 24-hour restaurant in Seattle, Washington." 2.And for the art work on the wall, is it possible for you to upload some pictures? because it seems that there is no reliable source supporting this fact. And it would be great to see some nice pictures of those art work. 3.In the history section, the sentence "a cardboard dumpster fire behind the restaurant spread to Beth’s Cafe temporarily closing it due to structural damage" might have some grammar issue. (I am not a native speaker, just want to let you know it looks unnatural to me ) 4.I divided the last paragraph into 2 parts in the history section. For my understanding, it makes more sense.

If there is anything wrong, please feel free to reach me or throw it back!

At first, I thought it will be really hard to establish the nobility for a small restaurant. But you did a good job with all the reliable sources! And I can't believe I haven't tried this restaurant yet. I will go for it soon! Yiyunl347 (talk) 22:38, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Paige's feedback[edit]

In line with the previous suggestions made, I consolidated some of the information in the first two paragraphs, and pulled the details about Beth's hours and founding date to the first paragraph. The goal was to make it more of an "at a glance" overview of the cafe.

Is there a citation that supports the assertion that Beth's is popular with young Seattleites? Paige.vogt (talk) 04:25, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Beth’s is under new ownership[edit]

As of Jan 1, 2024. Hazel Dalton sold Beth’s cafe to Songwriter and Chef Mason Reed co-owner of Seattle’s beloved music venue Tim’s Tavern. Chef Reed plans to return Beth’s to all its glory bringing back the late nights and enduring spirit that made the diner such an important part of Seattle history. 2603:3023:397:9100:D8EF:2453:96AD:29E2 (talk) 23:50, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
