Age difference between George Washington and George William Fairfax[edit]

This article states: "Lawrence introduced George to George William. A friendship grew between the two men, despite the fact that George William was seven years' older."

George Washington was born in 1732. Elsewhere in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Fairfax#Life_in_the_Virginia_colony) the birthdate of George William Fairfax is said to be 1729, roughly three years older...not seven.

Is this a discrepancy or am I misreading the article?
