Ownership of corridor.[edit]

The corridor is owned by Queensland Transport, and was subleased to Beaudesert Rail. A similar situation exists with QR. The QR network access route map shows the Beaudesert line as "private", [1], but they would not be the final authority. This media release from Beaudesert Shire Council refers to council discussions regarding obtaining a sublease from QDOT [2]Johnmc (talk) 19:07, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi John, thanks for clearing that up and providing a ref from Beaudesert Shire Council too. I used the QR network access diagrams too for my source, I thought that yellow tracks signifying a "private" line meant it was no longer owned by QR. The network diagram I downloaded to my hard drive also says "Beaudesert Rail - Private Railway (No QR interest beyond signal BT10)" (which would be around Bethania). Actually, I goofed slightly. Corridors are *Leased* to QT, and they sublease them to the various operators. I guess the actual owner of the corridor would be The Crown (in the oldspeak). I guess nowadays it would just be the State of Queensland. Thanks for doing these articles, if I had time, I would do some on the lines in my area, but yeah... time... Provision for railway station just north of Cable Camp Road?[edit]

At 27°46′15″S 153°06′25″E / 27.77071°S 153.10689°E / -27.77071; 153.10689 the land corridor reserved for the railway widens just as it does at other railway stations to accommodate platforms etc. Was there ever a railway station there? I know there was a large World War 2 American Army Camp in that area so maybe they had a railway station there? Kerry (talk) 22:08, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
