Location[edit]

Frisches Haff is the German term for the Vistula lagoon. The battle occured obviously in the area of Usedom, the alternate name "battle of Neu Warp" refers also to a village at the Oder Lagoon. East Prussia (the location of the Frisches Haff) was occupied by Russian troops throughout this war, so it's rather unlikely Swedish troops would fight in that region. Does a source use the term "battle of Frisches Haff" for this event or has somebody mixed up the Oder and the Vistula lagoon (which is my impression)? Actually, Frisches Haff is a valid historical name for the Stettiner Haff also, the other Frisches Haff is derived from Friesisches Haff. I will put this in the respective articles to avoid confusion. Regards Skäpperöd (talk) 21:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
