GA Review[edit]

Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch

This is a really great article, but I am going to try and be nitpicky like the FA reviewers, since that is where this article is ultimately headed.

Suggestions
  • The lead really shouldn't be more than four paragraphs. I'd trim some of the specifics out of the last paragraph...one or two awards will suffice, since the rest are mentioned elsewhere. Then the last two paragraphs can be combined.
    • Done.
  • In "Role in The Simpsons", the first couple of sentences talk about the timeline, and then there is abrupt change of thought to "Bart Simpson is the rebellious son of...". Maybe this should be a new paragraph or some kind of transition should be inserted?
    • Done.
  • "The original design of Bart that appeared in the first shorts had a lot more spikes on his head which were different lengths." - awkward. How about something like: "Bart's original design, which appeared in the first shorts, had spiker hair, and the spikes were of different lengths." or something to that effect?
    • Done.
  • "Bart the General" needs a season and episode cite.
  • Make sure all plot info is in present tense. Example, "On one occasion, Lisa successfully proved that Bart was dumber than a hamster." --> "On one occasion, Lisa successfully proves that Bart is dumber than a hamster."
    • Fixed, and I'll do a read through
  • Why is a book named The Bart Book about Homer? Wouldn't it be about Bart? Is that a typo?
    • Yes, it is a typo. That portion was copied from Homer's page and I guess I missed a word.
  • "including the most recent, The Simpsons Game" - time dependent statement
    • Fixed.
