Hi My nam is Mark Farrell , and i was involved with your 100 year celebration in 1984 - we did a mock attack on one of your sports fields , with our army platoon from 4 SAI . I had my foto taken , and placed on the cover of Paratus magazine . I was never able to get a copy of that magazine , is there anyone that can help me?

This sentence is just purely wrong "The first form of life on earth, a bacterial micro fossil Archaeospheroides barbertonis was discovered here and has been identified as being 3.2 billion years old."

Barberton Prison[edit]

I believe the Barberton which is the subject of this article was near to a prison which was notorious in the apartheid era. It was apparently nicknamed 'Apartheid's Alcatraz';
